Packman is one of my go-tos too. I see how he rides the line of “sensationalist headlines” and over the last year I’ve found his Trumpian tonal shift to be quite funny. My take is that he understands that he operates as a bit of a counter-balance to the FOX News talking head so he matches their intensity in positioning of his main talking point, but underneath that he’s kind of a let-the-facts-lead kind of guy and that lines up with my personality
There’s several variants of both Mother 1 and 2. There’s Mother 1 in Japanese, if I recall it has several localizations, including the official one “Earthbound Beginnings” which you can find on the Switch NES Online service; I understand a proper localized patch is the preferred path, but every time you google these things you get a different perspective.
There’s also several Mother 2/Earthbound ROM hacks and localization patches to consider. Last year, I played through “Mother 2 Deluxe” which does seem like a definitive edition.
I just started playing https://pkscramble.com which is one of several Earthbound Randomizers out there. Randomizers are fantastic to break up the monotony of a play through, throughly recommend.
Make the attempt to not treat her any differently, being a woman shouldn’t change anything and most people want to feel normal and that they have merit and provide value so try and set that table for her
I credit Noom for my weight loss model, but only used it for a few months.
It’s not bad, the real problem with it is that it doesn’t have a Watch option, it only supports one device per account.
It’s all about taking action and making it happen. Women who go out with you are already open to the possibility of physical intimacy, so it’s just a matter of changing your approach. Even if you keep doing the same thing, it’s all about numbers. Just don’t give up, it’s not a good look and it’s really disheartening.
Super Metroid is truly timeless
In fairness to your ignorant friend, but many “designers” stick to tools like Figma and XD and do not really get into the coding side of things. Fundamentally, the web is based on HTML, CSS and JS if you want to be a developer then you’ll be up to your neck in it or server-side language generating some combination of it. If your goal is to be a designer, that is a different set of skills and doesn’t necessary require those technologies
I need the MacBook, could get away without the iPad but you’ll tear my M4 Pro from my cold dead hands
Most notably, in my mind, is how vanilla Fedora is. You’ll find no first party apps and settings tools, Fedora is pretty much comes the way the GNOME guys intended it. Other distros are customized to hell
How many calories do you consume today? I think I’d start tracking and start shaving off little by little.
NTA, I don’t understand why he needs a crisis manager. In my experience, you only need one to spring into action
Most other people are idiots, boomers included. If you’re a good person, it’s best just to be happy with yourself and not look for external validation.
Fedora is my favorite distro, the latest release is dank.
I agree with the YTA sentiment here, and it seems heading for the hills purely over this one thing is an overreaction. I suggest considering if you’re not just using this to justify deeper-seated feelings?
GNOME is fantastic and has a lot of common with MacOS. From my standpoint, the biggest thing you lose is the headphones sync between devices which can be an irreplaceable feature if you have enough devices to share them between. Other than that, it feels like mostly small potatoes. SMS Message sync can be replaced with qtconnect, Google Voice or the Android Messages web app… there’s options. Chrome is mostly a decent replacement for Safari, especially if you have an Android TV or Chromecasts and all that. Basically, just prepare to take a few giant steps backwards in terms of overall polish, and dope cross-device capabilities. You get to use GNOME, though - and that’s one or two smaller steps forward in terms of clean user experience.
For me, it was that Hogwarts game that just came out. A few years back, I abandoned PC gaming as I was pretty impressed with my Series X and I had just invested in a GTX 1080 and was fuming that RTX had basically obsoleted my card out of the gate. Fast forward to a few months ago, I have a Series X and a Steam Deck and my girlfriend wants Hogwarts Legacy. I choose Series X because I care about graphics, but _she_ cares about portability so she never plays the game. It’s stupid, I need one store that runs everywhere so naturally I just need to double down on steam and commit to PC gaming. It’s fine, the system runs docker really well and Windows 11 23H2 is worth having around.
You could always “trade” him for an item of comparable value, and if one breaks you keep the other. I mean, if he’s your brother and he’s going to do it anyways, you might as well mitigate the issue by planning to recoup your losses. I mostly agree with “fuck him, lock it away” but if he’s going to win anyways why not find some balance in the agreement?
Bill Gates is doing his part, kind of blown away that people refuse to acknowledge it.
There must be some fish-out-of-water element, >!so I suspect Mario and Luigi are avatars of people in the real world or something!<. Still, even deducing that, this feels like a bit of a miss. Mario with the wrong voice just doesn’t feel like Mario
