The ChromeOS desktop is the desktop for Crostini, it’s not intended to provide a DE for itself. Having said that, surely someone has, it can definitely run GUI apps I’ve installed Steam and played games (very poorly) with it.

Civ 5 seems to work on my Pixel Slate, albeit incredibly slowly. Little Inferno finally has decent frame-rates. In all, a solid release.
