My problem with this is the framing at the end. “If you think what she did was acceptable”, I don’t think that’s why people are donating. You can find someone sympathetic and still think what they did was abhorrent. Just seems that there’s no honest discourse about that if we’re pretending that all people who see some nuance here are instant monsters who want to kill their kids.
