Bazzite is surprisingly good for development, runs great
Random display issues can be normal. I never encountered this though but at least for me (Nvidia RTX 4070) I see weirdness sometimes between games or if I plug in an extra monitor during a session. It gets better over time, Nvidia support is still new. Other chips are more stable but the same basic rules still apply
I’m a regular at half the restaurants in town and can confirm the social awkwardness is palpable
SG1 is easily as good as TNG
I dream about this setup, I have a desktop also running bazzite and it feels like too much to manage, I just want the handheld. How is it in day to day usage, stable? Is it frustrating to get it working generally?
Brew is a good way to get lower level things, and I’ve had success installing vscode and setting up devcontainers to work with podman.
The sky is the limit, you should def go talk to someone about this and not bottle it up.
At least for me, bazzites Nvidia support is pretty good now, I can’t think of a game with problems. I think you can wait it out
I honestly think it does. If you’re like me, then:
* You live and do well in a Christian society, grew up with Christianity and went to church, was baptized etc
* Caught yourself thinking about the Jesus story and have ever let that move your thinking
* Follow it’s major holidays and practice it’s customs because of family
* Genuinely like the Jesus narrative and find him badass
* Have to revert to Christian vernacular and shared concepts on a regular basis
* You believe all real things have a natural scientific explanation
* You see some historical value in the teachings, but couch them as ancient cultural narratives written by humans
Until I started listening to Jordan Peterson I thought this wasn’t enough, but by my old standards he’s an atheist but he’s accepted as a Christian darling. Then I started to consider the whole notion of The Noble Lie and how, throughout history most science was done on behalf of the church. I realized I’m taking a label and living in a margin that only I care about.
Imagine only judging things through the lens of politics. It’s a live action superhero cartoon, dude chill
Some people get ahead of themselves, not the worst quality. You should obviously recognize she’s in over her head, but if she’s otherwise a decent person then give her some patience and talk this stuff out. For me, I’d rather have someone who just blurbs out what they feel instead of holding it in, and if she’s the type to go for the things she wants you might find plenty of examples where that fault is an asset.
No, I still have to reboot from time to time because the WiFi goes out
I bought this same combo at Best Buy next month, installed it in five mins and its been great.
Say what you want about MacOS but nothing else gets this kind of aggressive defense
Honestly, if your not the kind of person to upgrade hardware every 3-5 years you may be in for a bad time, but its entirely possible that MacOS will outlast Windows 11 in terms of updates. Eventually all hardware is destined to run Linux.
If she’s using a traditional voicemail inbox and not random access voicemail like iPhones use then this could be the case. Does she have to call to check her voicemail?
Downtown, for sure. North Charleston can be pretty sketchy but downtown is beautiful
Would never sully a device with Windows myself, but I understand a handheld shell will be coming this year or early next year so I suspect if it sucks now it probably won’t forever
People are really flighty, they may think that it’s going too well and they’re worried about getting their hopes up. I think jumping into in person is a good idea before investing too much
I think this is conceptually right, and would expect Lubuntu’s desktop environment to edge out Cinnamon, but I imagine any real difference in performance is negligible.
