Before they became funny jpegs, memes were defined as ‘thought viruses’ sort of like to how religion can spread and take hold on a population. I wonder if there’s a similar term to describe this phenomenon where presumably otherwise decent people are exposed to a concept and turn into gaslighting psychopaths?
